
Talantbek Imankulov has been appointed as the mayor of Karakol, according to information provided by the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
The appointment decree was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.
Imankulov previously held various leadership positions in government institutions, including the head of the Ministry of Digital Development and the National Investment Agency. His extensive experience at the republican level, according to experts, is expected to contribute to the successful implementation of infrastructure projects and the development of the tourism sector in Karakol.
Also, by presidential decree, Kanibek Adiev was relieved of his duties as mayor of Karakol. The official statement did not disclose the reasons for this rotation or information about Adiev's new appointment.
