Today, March 10, the press service of the President's Administration announced the appointment of Kanatbek Chynybaev as the acting Minister of Emergency Situations.

Chynybaev, born on November 4, 1983, holds the rank of reserve lieutenant colonel. In 2006, he graduated from the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, and in 2018, from the Academy of Civil Defense of the Russian Federation. From 2006 to 2022, he served in various structural divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan. Since July 15, 2022, he has continued his service on a mission at the Situational Center of the President's Administration, while remaining at the disposal of the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic. Chynybaev has been awarded several medals and honors.

It is worth noting that earlier, President Japarov relieved Urmatbek Shamyrkanov of his duties, who had held the position of head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for only a month. The President's press secretary, Askat Alagozov, explained that this decision was made in connection with information confirmed by the General Prosecutor's Office that Shamyrkanov had accepted bribes in the past.
