Today, March 10, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic, at its meeting, decided to terminate the powers of the district electoral commission No. 13, established in October 2025.

The main reason for the dissolution of the commission was the cancellation of the repeat elections in district No. 13, related to the review of the voting results from November 30, 2025.

We remind you that on November 30, 2025, extraordinary elections for deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh were held in the country. On December 3, 2025, the Central Commission canceled the registration of all 14 candidates in district No. 13 due to violations related to the installation of surveillance cameras, which affected the confidentiality of the voting process.

Repeat elections were scheduled for March 1, 2026, and 23 candidates were registered to participate. On February 13, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums reviewed its previous decisions regarding the early elections in the multi-mandate district No. 13, canceling the previous resolution and recognizing the elections as valid. As a result, the deputies elected were Aibek Altynbekov, Talant Mamytov, and Aigul Karabekova. After that, the decision to hold repeat elections in district No. 13 was challenged in court, which confirmed the legality of this decision.
