According to information from lawyer Asel Argymbaeva, the decision to extend the preventive measure was made on March 13. She noted that during the four months of the investigation, not a single investigative action had been conducted with the defendants.

Argymbaeva emphasized that at the hearing, the prosecution merely mentioned the intention to conduct several expert examinations. Nevertheless, the court decided to keep the defendants in custody.

The lawyer expressed dissatisfaction that the court did not take into account the defense's arguments and did not explain why the defendants are still in custody if no investigative actions are actually being carried out.

Additionally, she reported that Temirlan Sultanbekov had filed three complaints regarding the actions of the investigation, but none of them had been considered by the court in the last three weeks.

Argymbaeva also criticized the wording that, in her opinion, is repeated in court documents: the defendants "may obstruct the investigation." She believes that there is no evidence in the case materials to support this claim.

In conclusion, the lawyer pointed out the existing crisis in the justice system, where the law is formally quoted, but its essence is ignored.

We remind you that on November 23, law enforcement agencies conducted searches and arrests related to the case of possible calls for mass riots. An important reason for initiating the criminal case was a video involving Temirlan Sultanbekov, after which the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated investigative actions.

During the investigation, many politicians and former officials were detained or questioned, including Kadyrbek Atambaev, Shailoobek Atazov, Syimyk Japykeev, Kubanychbek Kadyrov, and others. Searches were also conducted at the homes of relatives of politicians and journalists, including former First Lady Raisa Atambaev and the family of Dmitry Lozhnikov.

It later became known that some of those detained—Temirlan Sultanbekov, Kadyrbek Atambaev, Shailoobek Atazov, and seven others—were placed in a temporary detention facility for the selection of a preventive measure. Other interrogations, including those concerning Adakhan Madumarov and Syimyk Japykeev, ended with their release.

Furthermore, Kadyrbek Atambaev reported that his case had been reclassified to a more serious charge—"attempted violent overthrow of power."

It was also revealed that Shailoobek Atazov and Kubanychbek Kadyrov were released with a change in the preventive measure.
