On December 30, 2025, a student reported to the police that her bag had been stolen at the educational institution located on Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue. It contained 300,000 soms, $2,000, and an iPhone 15.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 205 "Theft" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainee turned out to be U. E., born in 1993. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.
Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating whether the detainee could be involved in other similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
