According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the attacker entered the building and assaulted the students living there. The injured were immediately taken to hospitals for medical assistance.
As reported by the TASS news agency, citing Irina Volk, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, four injured individuals are known. The Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan informed that their condition is stable.
However, Telegram channels Baza and Mash indicate that the number of injured may reach six, including a dormitory security guard.
It is also reported that there are foreign students in the dormitory.

During the attempt to detain the teenager, he resisted, resulting in two police officers sustaining knife wounds. The attacker also injured himself and was hospitalized; his condition is assessed as serious, according to TASS.
The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under articles concerning the attempted murder of two or more individuals, as well as the encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers.
