A 36-year-old woman was found guilty of large-scale fraud, as established by the Vorkuta City Court.
According to the case materials, from 2022 to 2025, the accused regularly applied for monthly benefits for her four minor children at the branch of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund in Komi, indicating Vorkuta as her place of residence. However, in reality, she lived with her children in the Moscow region. As a result, the Kyrgyzstani woman illegally received over 1.4 million rubles from the Russian budget.
The woman admitted her guilt and partially compensated for the damage caused. The court sentenced her to three years of conditional imprisonment with a probation period of three years. In addition, the prosecutor's office secured a ruling to recover the remaining amount of damage — 1.2 million rubles — from the citizen of Kyrgyzstan in favor of Russia. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
