He emphasized that such calls may come from cybercriminals who, posing as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Committee for National Security, or representatives of the National Bank, deceive people and force them to transfer money to their accounts.
According to Berdibaev, at-risk groups include Russian-speaking citizens, pensioners, as well as employees of state and municipal institutions.
In addition, the head of the Internal Affairs Department warned against clicking on suspicious links, which could lead to phishing, and urged people not to trust various lotteries and "investment" schemes.
