A 19-year-old girl was detained in Bishkek on suspicion of extorting a large sum of money amounting to 5 million soms.
According to information provided by the Internal Affairs Department of the October District, a citizen named M.A. reported to law enforcement. He stated that since the beginning of January this year, the girl had threatened him with violence, deprivation of liberty, and resorted to other forms of pressure to obtain money.
In connection with the aforementioned incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to extortion.
During the investigative actions, law enforcement identified the suspect, who turned out to be K.A., born in 2007. She was detained while receiving 300,000 soms illegally. Currently, the detainee is placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
