According to information from the Internal Affairs Department, a 22-year-old man named A.B. turned to law enforcement as a victim of blackmail. He stated that on February 10 of this year, while in a car with a girl in the underground parking lot of one of the buildings on Shakirov Street, they were approached by two young men — M.S. and Ch. uulu B.
The criminals claimed to have recorded "indecent actions" of the couple and demanded 100,000 soms, threatening to post the recording on social media. Under pressure from the blackmailers, the victim transferred 50,000 soms to an electronic wallet, promising to pay the remaining amount later.
According to the Internal Affairs Department, on February 13, the extortionists contacted the young man again, demanding the remaining debt. Operatives engaged in the fight against extremism and illegal migration detained the suspects at the moment they received 500 dollars in cash.
Names of the detainees:
S.M. — a 21-year-old resident of Osh, currently unemployed.
Ch. uulu B. — a 24-year-old resident of the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region.
Both detainees have been placed in a temporary detention facility, and a criminal case has been initiated against them under part 2 of Article 208 (Extortion) of the Criminal Code.
