In Kyrgyzstan, from February 13 to February 25, 2026, an event called "Bandit" is taking place. According to the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek, more than 30 individuals have been detained on suspicion of being connected to an organized crime group.
Of these, 7 individuals were subjected to administrative measures, and 5 people were placed in a special reception center by the court's decision. During the operation, pneumatic weapons and their replicas were also seized.
The main objective of the event is to identify and suppress the activities of organized crime groups, as well as to search for individuals hiding from justice and investigation. Additionally, it is planned to detect and seize illegally stored firearms, explosives, ammunition, and drugs.
Operational and investigative units of the capital's police are involved in the implementation of this event, conducting a range of preventive and operational-search activities aimed at ensuring public safety and improving the criminal situation.
