From February 13 to 25, operational and investigative units of the police are actively working throughout the republic as part of this operation. The main task is to identify and suppress the activities of organized criminal groups, detain individuals evading court and investigation, as well as discover and seize illegally stored weapons, ammunition, explosives, and drugs.
During the first two days of the operation, more than 30 citizens were brought to local units for verification of their connections with organized criminal groups. Administrative measures were applied to seven of them, and five were placed in a special detention facility of the GUVD of Bishkek by court decision.
During the conducted raids, pneumatic weapons and their replicas were also seized.
The police emphasize the comprehensive nature of the activities aimed at improving the criminal situation in the capital and enhancing public safety.
The capital's GUVD urges citizens to strictly adhere to the laws and immediately report any facts of illegal activity.
