Two firearms were surrendered by residents of Bishkek as part of the "Arsenal" campaign

The "Arsenal" campaign, organized by the employees of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department, resulted in the voluntary surrender of two firearms by citizens. This was reported by the press service of the District Internal Affairs Directorate.

The aim of the event was to improve the criminal situation, as well as to identify and seize illegally stored weapons, ammunition, explosives, and devices. At the same time, preventive work was conducted with the population.





It is important to note that according to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, illegal acquisition, sale, storage, carrying, or transportation of firearms and explosives is subject to criminal liability.

Citizens who voluntarily surrendered illegally stored weapons are exempt from criminal liability and may receive a monetary reward.

Law enforcement agencies urged residents of Bishkek to hand over illegally stored types of weapons to the nearest internal affairs departments. During the campaign, cases of illegal storage of weapons were also identified, and the responsible individuals are being held accountable under Article 268 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
