During the holidays and long weekends, there is a traditional increase in domestic conflicts, many of which can escalate into offenses or criminal acts. In this context, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan urges citizens to report cases of domestic violence.
The agency emphasizes that most serious consequences, such as bodily harm, threats, and acts of domestic violence, occur against the backdrop of household quarrels and alcohol consumption, leading to a loss of self-control.
During this period, police officers work in an enhanced mode, quickly responding to all reports related to public order violations and family conflicts. Each citizen's report will be thoroughly checked and assessed from a legal standpoint.
It is important to remember:
- the use of physical force, threats, and psychological pressure is a violation of the law;
- so-called "family disputes" are not private matters if they affect the rights, health, and safety of individuals;
- liability for unlawful actions is provided regardless of kinship and circumstances.
Special attention is given by the police to cases of violence against women, children, and the elderly. Each such report is treated with particular seriousness, and response measures are taken immediately.
