Sydyk previously worked in the 6th department of the State National Security Committee and had close ties with Zhakybekov, who was arrested the day before, on February 15.
On February 10, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, signed a decree relieving Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State National Security Committee.
In place of Tashiev, Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed as the acting chairman of the State National Security Committee. Three deputy chairmen of the committee were also dismissed.
On February 14, there was a change in leadership of the Main Department of the State National Security Committee for Bishkek: Ulan Biibosunov took the place of Eldar Zhakybekov, who was detained on February 15.
In addition, on February 16, Salmoor Jumabekov was removed from the position of head of the Main Department of the State National Security Committee for Osh and the Osh region.
