In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, law enforcement agencies detained two men involved in a robbery that occurred in a hotel in the Lenin district. This was reported by the press service of the local police department.
According to available information, on December 9, 2025, a citizen named K.T. reported to the police. He stated that the day before, on December 8, he rented a room in a hotel on Krasnaya Street with a friend and two young women. Suddenly, strangers entered their room, beat him, and stole his iPhone 11 Pro mobile phone worth 18,000 soms, a wristwatch, and 6,700 soms in cash. In addition, they forced him to transfer money through the "O-Dengi" service.
A criminal case was initiated regarding this incident under Article 206 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and relevant examinations were appointed.
As a result of operational search activities, police officers detained the second suspect, T.J., born in 2007. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility. The first suspect, T.D., also born in 2007, was detained earlier.
The investigation established that the stolen phone was sold by the suspects for 10,000 soms, and the proceeds were spent on personal needs.
The investigation is ongoing.
