In Osh, a man impersonated a police officer and extorted money


A man was detained in the Osh region for impersonating a police officer and extorting money from the owner of a massage parlor. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this individual acted in collusion with others, posing as a law enforcement officer.

The investigation revealed that three strangers entered the massage parlor without presenting official identification. They conducted an illegal search and exhibited aggression towards the owner, resulting in the theft of 32,000 soms and further demands for a larger sum.

Later, one of the accomplices, who identified himself as "Marcel," received an additional sum of 15,000 soms. Under the pretext of providing protection and support, he also organized regular transfers of 10,000 soms to his electronic wallet, ultimately leading to a total loss of 77,000 soms.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning extortion.

As a result of operational-search activities, a suspect named K. uulu N., born in 1993, was detained while receiving another sum of money. It was revealed that he has no connection to the police and is likely involved in several similar crimes.

The detained individual has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Osh City Department of Internal Affairs.

Operational activities are ongoing regarding two other suspects. The investigation continues.
