Two women were detained by the police in Bishkek on charges of fraud related to jewelry amounting to 36 million soms. This was reported by the press service of the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs.
It became known that on December 13, 2025, a citizen named T.A. approached law enforcement authorities. She reported that two strangers, introducing themselves as "Ch." and "N.", received jewelry for sale in one of the shopping centers between November 18 and December 2. After that, they sold these items to a pawn shop at a significantly reduced price, and the money was not returned.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational search activities, the suspects were detained: Sh.Ch., born in 1985, and S.N., born in 1988. They were placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation of this case is ongoing.
