The jewelry was sold to a pawn shop at a reduced price
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, law enforcement authorities arrested two women suspected of fraud amounting to 36 million soms. This information was provided by the Internal Affairs Department of the Sverdlovsk District.
It became known that on December 13, 2025, a citizen T. A. reported to the Internal Affairs Department that two women, Ch. and N., whom she did not know, managed to gain her trust. From November 18 to December 2, in one of the shopping and entertainment centers on Kurmanjan Datka Street, they received jewelry worth a total of 36 million soms for further sale.
However, after the women pawned the jewelry at a lower price, they disappeared without returning the money.
As a result of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
During the operational activities, the identities of the offenders were established, and they were apprehended. The suspects turned out to be Sh. Ch. (born in 1985) and S. N. (born in 1988). They are currently in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
The investigation is ongoing.
