According to information provided by the defense, Anarkulov is accused of organizing mass riots. Lawyer Munarbek Supataev reported this to journalists after the court hearing regarding the choice of a preventive measure.
The defender also noted that his client does not admit guilt and disputes the charges brought against him. Furthermore, he emphasized that Anarkulov is not involved in the initiative of a group of 75 people who proposed to hold presidential elections this year.
It should be reminded that Nurgazy Anarkulov was detained on February 17 at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border while attempting to enter Kyrgyzstan. Previously, he had made statements on behalf of Kamchybek Tashiev after his removal from the position of chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
It is important to note that Anarkulov was appointed to his position in the presidential administration after the events of October 2020. In February 2021, he became the subject of a GKNB detention on charges of extorting a bribe, but was later relieved of his duties. Information regarding the further fate of the criminal case has not been officially disclosed.
