The police are investigating the possible involvement of the detained individual in other similar crimes.
A man suspected of fraud related to the sale of an apartment in the residential complex "Nova City" was detained in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. This was confirmed by representatives of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate (GUVD).
The investigation has established that a 43-year-old citizen, U.T., fraudulently obtained the sum of 284,267 dollars under the pretext of selling an apartment on Maxim Gorky Street from October 2020 to February 2024. Currently, the money has not been returned to the owner.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect has already been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The police are also checking for possible connections of this individual with other similar fraud cases.
