During a counterintelligence operation, law enforcement agencies received information about the illegal activities of a citizen with the initials Ch.R.Z., who was posing as an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the investigation, he managed to gain the trust of a person connected to a criminal case currently under consideration by the Internal Affairs Department of the Sverdlovsk District, citing his connections with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As a result, he deceitfully extorted 500 dollars from him. Furthermore, the suspect claimed that this person would soon be arrested and that only he could assist with this matter. Ultimately, he demanded an additional 2000 dollars.
These actions were classified under Article 343 ("Extortion of a Bribe") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. On February 18, in Bishkek, while receiving the amount of 45,000 soms, Ch.R.Z. was detained. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative actions are ongoing, and possible accomplices of the crime are currently being identified.
