In St. Petersburg, a janitor from Uzbekistan saved a six-year-old child

On Petrozavodskaya Street in St. Petersburg, an incident occurred that nearly led to tragedy. A six-year-old boy fell from the window of an apartment located on the seventh floor. According to RIA Novosti, his life was saved thanks to a random witness—a local janitor.

This hero is a labor migrant from Uzbekistan named Khayrullo. He learned about the impending danger from a vigilant neighbor who noticed the child in an open window on the opposite side of the street. The janitor immediately responded to her cries and quickly ran to the scene to catch the falling boy. He took the impact upon himself, embracing the child to minimize the force of the fall to the ground.

After Khayrullo successfully caught the boy, he took him to the concierge, where he handed the injured child over to the arriving ambulance crew. The doctors assessed the child's condition and found him to have injuries of varying severity, after which he was urgently hospitalized.

According to preliminary data, at the time of the incident, the boy's mother was in another room. The apartment did not have special window locks installed, which led to this unfortunate accident.

Currently, the St. Petersburg prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation to clarify all the circumstances of the incident and to ensure compliance with legislation on the prevention of neglect and offenses among minors.
