36-year-old Khayrullo Ibodullaev, a citizen of Uzbekistan and a janitor in St. Petersburg, witnessed a fantastic incident. He caught a seven-year-old boy who fell from a window on the seventh floor, as reported by media sources.

The boy, who suffers from autism, was playing with a tablet when he lost his balance and began to fall. He managed to grab onto the ledge but soon let go.

Khayrullo, noticing this, began to shout loudly and gesture, trying to attract the child's attention. At the moment the boy released the ledge, the man instantly reacted and positioned his hands to cushion the fall. After that, he quickly carried the boy into the entrance and tried to revive him until medical help arrived. Meanwhile, the child's mother was in the kitchen and only noticed her son's absence about ten minutes later. Both sustained serious injuries.

At the moment, the child is in intensive care in stable condition but has fractures and internal organ damage. Khayrullo himself has also been diagnosed with fractures in his wrists and ribs.

This brave man arrived in Russia just four months ago in search of work; in Uzbekistan, four children and his parents are waiting for him.
