The police received information that the children were missing. An investigative operational group immediately went to the scene. Upon arrival, the officers discovered the bodies of all three children, who were retrieved from the water; however, unfortunately, their lives could not be saved – they had died before the medics arrived.
It became known that the children often played together, as their families live nearby and are related. The canal where the tragedy occurred is located just 300 meters from their homes. The water in the canal was intended for irrigation of fields, and unfortunately, there were no barriers at its edges, and the surface was covered with ice. The children were not reported missing until 2:00 PM. One of the children, M. I., who also played with them and did not speak, came to his mother, K. N., and tried to inform her about the incident. Not understanding him, she followed him and discovered the bodies of the drowned children, after which she began to call for help," the police reported.
The bodies of the deceased children were sent to the morgue, where necessary forensic examinations will be conducted. The investigation is ongoing, and a decision will be made based on its results in accordance with current legislation.
