A junior police lieutenant has been detained
An officer from the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs in Bishkek, a junior police lieutenant with the initials R. u. M., has been detained for the use of physical force. This information was confirmed by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
The detention occurred as a result of joint actions by the GKNB and the internal intelligence service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the investigation, the police officers, having brought a citizen named "L.T.D." to police station No. 2, who was accused of petty hooliganism, "beat the detainee without grounds in order to demonstrate their power and authority."
As a result of the beating, "L.D.T." required medical assistance and was taken to the National Hospital, where he was prescribed inpatient treatment. An expert conclusion established that he was diagnosed with: closed traumatic brain injury with concussion, closed spinal injury with fractures of two transverse processes, as well as bruises of the soft tissues of the face and lumbar region.
As of February 21, 2026, junior police lieutenant R. u. M. was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
