A man bought a car, not knowing that it was rented.

In Bishkek, a suspect in fraud has been detained, reported the press service of the First Mai District Department of Internal Affairs on February 25.

On February 4, one of the residents of the capital turned to local law enforcement. He stated that on May 16, 2025, he purchased a "Hyundai Grandeur" car for the amount of $8300. It later turned out that the actual owner of the car took it back, as it was rented.

A case was opened regarding this incident under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.

The law enforcement agencies detained the suspect, identified as T.H., born in 1986. He was placed in a temporary detention facility.

During the investigation, police officers are checking the possible involvement of the detainee in other similar crimes.
