On February 26, the press service of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department reported that police officers returned a lost briefcase to a resident of the capital, which contained a significant amount of money.

The incident occurred on February 14, when the assistant duty officer of the SOB GOM-1, Bolotbek uulu Elaman, and inspector Toktosun uulu Erkebek, who holds the rank of lieutenant colonel, were patrolling the streets. At the intersection of Moscow and Fuchik, they noticed a black briefcase left on the curb.

After checking the contents of the find, the police officers discovered documents and a bundle of money inside. They took the briefcase to the station, where they were able to identify the owner using the found documents and contacted him.

During the conversation, it turned out that the Bishkek resident had not even noticed that his item was missing. He counted the money and confirmed that there was about 1 million soms in the briefcase, and the documents remained intact.

The owner of the briefcase expressed his gratitude for the return of his property and asked the police leadership to reward the officers who helped him. In response, the leadership of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department presented the officers with letters of appreciation.
