According to the aviation authority, the plane went off the runway and fell onto a busy highway, where an explosion occurred and a fire broke out. As a result of the crash, vehicles on the road were damaged, and the death toll reached at least 15 people, including both crew members and individuals in the cars.

According to Unitel, the aircraft was carrying new banknotes ordered by the local Central Bank, and after the accident, the money scattered across the area. A large crowd gathered at the scene, trying to collect the bills, which forced the police to use tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Later, David Espinoza, the head of the Central Bank of Bolivia, stated that the banknotes on board were declared invalid and would not be accepted for payment.

According to the latest information, seven of the eight crew members on board the crashed plane were able to survive, as reported by the head of the local fire service.
