The Spiritual Administration of Muslims calls on citizens to remain calm
Due to the worsening situation in the Middle Eastern region, flights for performing Umrah have been suspended, creating force majeure circumstances. This was reported by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK).
In a statement to citizens currently in Mecca and Medina for the minor pilgrimage, DUMK strongly recommended maintaining patience and following the guidance of travel agencies and group leaders.
“We urge everyone not to panic and to remain calm until the situation stabilizes and flights are resumed. Those planning to travel for Umrah are advised to closely monitor developments and postpone their trips until the situation in the region normalizes,” the statement reads.
The message also mentions the establishment of a temporary interagency headquarters that will address the issues of returning Kyrgyz citizens to their homeland.
