The Muftiyat of Kyrgyzstan has appealed to citizens planning to perform Umrah and to tourism companies, urging them to consider potential risks and approach the organization of the pilgrimage with due responsibility.
In the DUMK, it was noted that in recent days there have been delays and temporary cancellations of flights, including international ones, due to sharp weather changes, fog, and precipitation. Pilgrims are advised to closely monitor official warnings from meteorologists and take weather conditions into account when planning their trips.
Furthermore, the Muftiyat emphasized the necessity of signing a written contract with tourism companies, which should clearly outline the terms of service provision in case of force majeure circumstances, such as flight delays or accommodation issues.
Tourism companies authorized to organize Umrah are strongly recommended to maintain constant contact with pilgrims, promptly inform them of any changes, and provide necessary assistance.
It is important to note that only accredited tourism companies are authorized to organize Umrah in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the DUMK, permits for organizing Umrah have been issued to only a limited number of tourism firms, and the operation of companies without the appropriate accreditation is a violation of current legislation. Citizens are urged to check in advance for the necessary documents from pilgrimage organizers.
