In Osh, a traffic police inspector was detained on suspicion of fraud

In the city of Osh, an inspector of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GUOBDD) was detained as part of a joint operation with the Internal Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reports the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

According to the agency, in August 2025, the suspect deceitfully obtained 50,000 soms from two citizens known by the initials "K.Y." and "T.D." allegedly for assistance in obtaining driver's licenses. The funds were transferred to a mobile wallet specified by the perpetrator.

On March 4 of this year, the GUOBDD employee was arrested and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB. Investigative actions regarding the case are ongoing.

The GKNB emphasizes that obtaining driver's licenses should only be done on a legal basis.
