According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Osh region, the incident happened at the 17th kilometer of the local road Zhan-Aryk–Kyzyl-Suu, within the Intymak rural district. Huge stone blocks fell onto the roadway, completely blocking traffic.
Emergency services have already arrived at the scene. Currently, work is underway to clear the road. Specialists from the road maintenance enterprise No. 45 are participating in the clearing, and two pieces of loading equipment are also involved.
The Akim of the Kara-Suu district, Chyngyz Bapaev, confirmed that the clearing work has already begun.
Preliminary data indicates that there are no casualties as a result of the incident. An assessment of the damage caused to the road infrastructure will be conducted by specialists after the stone removal work is completed.
