The financial resources allocated for the modernization of computer equipment and repairs were misappropriated.
During the fight against corruption in state enterprises, it was revealed that the former manager 'P.B.M.' and chief accountant 'M.N.A.' of the Leilek district of OJSC 'Kyrgyz Post' embezzled budget funds. This situation was reported by the press service of the special services.
The investigation established that from January to September 2025, 'P.B.M.' and 'M.N.A.', using their official powers, embezzled 5,213,900 soms.
The central office of 'Kyrgyz Post' transferred funds to the branch's bank account for the purchase of computer equipment, furniture, plastic windows, and other repair needs for nine months.
However, none of the planned purchases were made, as the embezzled funds were used by 'P.B.M.' and 'M.N.A.' for personal purposes.
Additionally, during their work, they transferred inflated salaries to the bank cards of their subordinates and then asked them to return the excess money in cash, explaining it as a technical error.
A criminal case has been initiated against 'P.B.M.' and 'M.N.A.' under the article 'Embezzlement or misappropriation of entrusted property' of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
They have been detained and placed in custody in the GKNB pre-trial detention center.
