The Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek officially denied rumors that a fatal accident involving a child occurred in the capital. This information was announced by representatives of the department.
Details about the tragic incident began circulating in messaging apps like WhatsApp, where it was reported that a child had been hit. Subsequently, some sources even claimed that the accident took place on the territory of Kazakhstan.
According to official sources, on March 22, 2026, at the intersection of Frunze and Kakhovskaya streets, a driver with the surname O. Zh. M., born in 1985, hit a minor, K. u. A., born in 2010, who was crossing the road.
The child was hospitalized in Children's Hospital No. 3 with serious injuries, including a closed fracture of the shoulder. Medical assistance was provided, and according to doctors, his condition is currently stable.
The UPSM urged citizens to avoid spreading unverified information and to refer to official sources for accurate data.
