Owner of a medical center in Bishkek illegally stored and sold psychotropic substances

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, engaged in the fight against illegal drug trafficking, discovered facts of storage, use, and sale of psychotropic substances at the medical center "Dem-Nur," located in Bishkek.

According to the information from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, O.Sh., born in 1955, the owner of this medical center, was treating patients suffering from drug addiction and alcohol dependence without a license, as well as illegally storing and selling psychotropic substances.

During the search of the clinic, 18 ampoules of psychotropic substances, over 600 ampoules, and 16 packages of various medications were seized. Additionally, during the search at the suspect's residence, psychotropic drugs were found, as reported in the press release from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Investigative Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has initiated a criminal case under Article 282 of the Criminal Code, concerning the illegal production of drugs and psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale.

The suspect O.Sh. has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in this crime.
