In Phuket, Thailand, a serious incident occurred: the pleasure boat Korawich Marine 888 collided with a fishing vessel. As a result of the incident, 55 people were injured, including citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as reported by TASS, citing the Russian consul general in the province, Yegor Ivanov.
According to preliminary data, there were 33 Russians on board the boat, as well as representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and other countries. Unfortunately, one of the injured was a Russian girl born in 2008, who died from her injuries, noted Ivanov.
As journalists found out, the operator managing the Korawich Marine 888 boat primarily offered excursions for Russian-speaking tourists in the low price segment. This circumstance may affect the level of service, and previously, boats from this company have already been involved in emergency situations.
