The incident occurred on January 25 at around 02:00 at the intersection of the Southern Highway and Zhukeev-Pudovkin Street. The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate officers stopped the driver of a Lexus LX 570 for a document check; however, he did not respond to the request and attempted to flee.
As Jusupov reported, the chase lasted about 30 minutes, during which the driver violated traffic rules 15 times. After he was stopped, he tried to leave the car and run away but was caught and taken to a narcological institution, where his state of alcohol intoxication was confirmed.
A protocol was drawn up against the violator, and he was fined 85,000 soms. The vehicle was placed in an impound lot, and the case materials were sent to court for a decision on revoking his driver's license.
