According to information provided by the press service of the Osh Regional Court, the accused, named K. uulu S., has been remanded in custody until March 24, 2026, in accordance with paragraphs 5 and 7 of part 2 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning murder. The court's statement reads: "Based on the decision of the Uzgen District Court dated January 26, 2026, the petition of the investigative service of the Uzgen Department of Internal Affairs has been granted, and the preventive measure of detention has been chosen for the entire duration of the investigation until March 24, 2026."
Earlier, the press service of the Osh Regional Internal Affairs Department reported that on January 24, 2026, a report was received by the Uzgen Department of Internal Affairs from the territorial hospital regarding the death of a citizen, E.M., born in 1999, from severe injuries sustained from a sharp object.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 122 ("Murder") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and operational investigative measures were commenced.
As a result of the operational search activities conducted by the criminal investigation department of the Uzgen Department of Internal Affairs, the suspect — a citizen K. uulu S., born in 1993 — was detained on the same day. He had fled the scene but was later placed in a temporary detention facility.
According to preliminary investigation data, the conflict between the deceased E.M. and the suspect arose from a dispute over road passage.
