According to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region, on January 24, 2026, a signal was received at the Uzgen District Internal Affairs Department from the territorial hospital regarding the death of citizen E.M., born in 1999, from severe injuries sustained due to a sharp object strike.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning murder, and necessary operational investigative actions were started.
On the same day, thanks to the operational search activities conducted by the criminal investigation department of the Uzgen District Internal Affairs Department, a suspect was detained — citizen K. uulu S., born in 1993, who attempted to flee the scene. He was placed in a temporary detention facility.
Preliminary investigation data indicate that a quarrel between the deceased E.M. and the suspect K. uulu S. arose due to a dispute over road passage.
