These complexes are part of the "Safe Country" project, and the software was developed by IT specialists from the state institution "Kyzmat," which operates under the president's administration.
According to the MIA, Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue is now under constant surveillance. The new devices are capable of recording the following violations:
- absence of a seatbelt;
- driving in the opposite lane;
- exceeding the established speed limit;
- running a red light;
- ignoring road signs and markings.
During one of the monitoring sessions, a violation was recorded when a BMW vehicle was traveling at a speed of 155 kilometers per hour. The head of the traffic police had a conversation with the driver and handed him a notice created using the automatic recording system.
It was previously reported that by 2026, it is planned to install 306 hardware and software complexes in Kyrgyzstan. In Bishkek, in addition to Aitmatov Avenue, such complexes are already operational at the intersection of Akhunbaev and Toktonaliev Streets, as well as on Botaliev Street and the Young Guard Boulevard.
