Adriano threatened the scammer who deceived his mother

The Brazilian football striker Adriano made a sharp statement on social media after his mother fell victim to a scammer. The perpetrator, posing as the athlete, convinced the woman to transfer over 15,000 Brazilian reais to another account.

In his emotional video, Adriano directly addressed the scammer, demanding the money be returned as soon as possible.

He stated: "You are a scammer, return the money, or I will find you. You will see that the devil will come down to earth," giving the criminal 24 hours to return the funds.

The footballer emphasized that his phone number remained the same, which the scammer took advantage of, and noted that any threats against his family would not go unpunished.

According to Adriano, "My mom transferred money to a person who was pretending to be me. That's not how you treat mothers and families."

Known by the name The Emperor, Adriano played for clubs such as Inter, Fiorentina, Roma, Parma, as well as Brazilian teams Flamengo, São Paulo, and Corinthians. He scored 27 goals for the Brazil national team.

After retiring from football, the player returned to his hometown of Vila Cruzeiro in Rio de Janeiro, which he considers his home and a place where he feels connected to his roots.
