The Olympic football team of Kyrgyzstan (U-23) will participate in the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.

The Summer Asian Games are scheduled to take place from September 19 to October 4 in Nagoya and Aichi Prefecture.

This year, 32 teams will compete for the title in the men's tournament. For comparison, 21 teams participated in 2022 in China.

For the Kyrgyzstani team, this will be their sixth Asian Games.

The debut of Kyrgyz footballers at the Asian Games took place in 2006 in Qatar, where they managed to advance past the first round and finished 17th out of 28 participants.

In 2010, at the tournament in China, the Kyrgyzstan team was unable to secure a single victory, losing all three matches and failing to advance from the group stage.

In 2014, in South Korea, the team reached the playoffs, surpassing the Iranian team, but lost to Jordan in the Round of 16 after extra time.

At the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, the Kyrgyz team again failed to advance past the group stage.

In 2022 in China, the team reached the playoffs, but in their first game, they suffered a defeat to Korea with a score of 1:5.
