Imana Kleif is preparing for the 2028 Olympics after hormone therapy


In an interview with French journalists, the athlete stated that her testosterone level was reduced to zero under medical supervision before the Paris Olympics. She emphasized that she is not transgender: "I am a girl. I was raised as such and have always been known in my village as a girl."

The 26-year-old boxer provided medical documents and hormone testing results to World Boxing and expressed her readiness to undergo all necessary checks to participate in the 2028 Olympic Games.

A new weight category in women's boxing will be introduced at the 2028 Olympics to level the competition with men's. Kleif, who won gold in the 66 kg category in Paris, intends to compete in the up to 70 kg weight class. "My height is 1.80 m, and my team and I are studying how to best adapt to the new category," she noted.

The 2028 Olympic Games will begin on July 14 in Los Angeles, and Kleif is considered one of the main contenders for success in women's boxing.
