Recently, the Department of Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Policy held a meeting with members of the city team, who will represent Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan on the international stage.
The team consists of:
- Barsbek Rayymbekov (born in 2007);
- Daniil Lepikhov (born in 2007);
- Rustam Islamov (born in 2007);
- Aka Kenesheva (born in 2006).
The Asian Fencing Championship will be held from February 22 to 28 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Four athletes from the capital will participate in the competition.
According to the team's coach, Alexander Chernykh, the athletes are currently in training camps in Tashkent, which will last until February 19. Then, from February 19 to 21, preparatory competitions are scheduled in Sochi.
During the meeting, the team members were given encouraging words and wishes for successful performances, high results, and a worthy representation of the country at the championship.
