Winners of the Winter Skiing Games in Karakol Announced

From February 11 to 13, the republican winter sports games "I am a Champion" took place in Karakol, where athletes aged 8 to 15 competed in alpine skiing. According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, 110 young skiers participated in the competitions, representing six teams from the Naryn, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions, as well as from the Toguz-Toro and Chatkal districts of the Jalal-Abad region.

As a result of three days of competition, the team "Karakol No. 1" from the Karakol Youth Sports School took first place, scoring the highest number of points and winning the main prize of 220,000 soms.

The second position was taken by the team from Naryn (Youth Sports School "Ala-Too"), which received 170,000 soms. The third place went to the Issyk-Ata Youth Sports School, which specializes in team and winter sports, with a prize of 110,000 soms. The Karakol Youth Sports School and the Toguz-Toro team shared the fourth and fifth places, each receiving 50,000 soms.

The prize fund of the competitions amounted to 600,000 soms. The "I am a Champion" games are aimed at developing youth sports, popularizing winter disciplines, and creating a competitive sports environment in the regions of the country.
