Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian forward, shared details for the first time about the conflict that led to his departure from Napoli.
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, he noted that a key moment was a video published by the club that mocked his missed penalty. According to the player, after this, he faced insults, including racist remarks, which made it impossible to continue working in such an environment. At the same time, the team's head coach, Antonio Conte, expressed a desire to keep Osimhen in the squad.
The forward also confirmed that there was interest from Juventus and other Serie A teams, but the management of Napoli did not take the initiative to organize a transfer, which forced him to make decisions about his future on his own.
Currently, Osimhen plays for Galatasaray. He noted that he feels calm in his new team and is fully focused on the games, especially in the Champions League, while remaining respectful to the fans of the Neapolitan club.
