The II International Tournament on Army Hand-to-Hand Combat was held in Bishkek, as reported by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
The event took place on February 19 and 20 at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace and was dedicated to the memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Lieutenant General Kalynur Usenbekov.
Over 300 athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Russia participated in the tournament.
The following winners were determined in the overall team standings of the tournament:
The first place was taken by the special forces unit "Scorpion" of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic;
The second place went to the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic;
The third place was taken by the Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic.
