Ernazar Akmataliev won gold at the ranking tournament in Albania

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Ernazar Akmataliev, won a gold medal at the ranking tournament in freestyle wrestling held in Albania.

Akmataliev competed in the 70 kg category, starting his performance from the 1/8 finals.

In his first match, the Kyrgyz wrestler faced the reigning European champion from Russia (up to 65 kg) and secured a victory, after which he confidently defeated a wrestler from Moldova.

In the semifinals, he was set to compete against a representative from Kazakhstan, and in a tense bout, Ernazar managed to clinch victory in the final seconds by executing a throw that earned him 4 points.

In the final, Akmataliev faced an American athlete, winning with a narrow margin of 3:2.

Thus, in the final protocol, he took first place and became the owner of the gold medal.

The bronze medal in the same weight category was won by Zalkarbek Tabaldiev.

Rustam Kakharo also represented Kyrgyzstan in this weight class; however, his journey in the tournament ended in the 1/8 finals, where he lost to Tabaldiev.
