The athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Aiperi Medet kyzy, achieved an impressive victory at the international ranking tournament in sports wrestling held in Tirana, Albania.
On February 28, she competed in the weight category up to 76 kg, demonstrating skill and confidence throughout the tournament.
Starting from the round of 16, Aiperi quickly gained the upper hand, securing an early victory over the Kazakh athlete Gulmaral Yerkebayeva with a score of 12:2. In the quarterfinals, the Kyrgyzstani athlete confidently defeated Vanesa Georgieva from Bulgaria — 10:0, and in the semifinals, her opponent was Elmura Yasin from Turkey, whom Aiperi also left with no chances, winning 14:0.
The final match was a true battle. Aiperi's opponent was Genesis Reasco Valdez from Ecuador, the reigning world champion, with whom she had already faced in the final of the 2025 World Championship. At that time, the representative of Ecuador won, but this time the Kyrgyz athlete avenged her loss, winning with a score of 5:4 and claiming the gold medal.
